THE 24TH INTERNATIONAL WATER MIST CONFERENCE (#IWMC2025)

The 24th International Water Mist Conference will as always be a host to a vast multitude of topics. Here some examples:

• IWMA President Max Lakkonen will open the conference and start with an industry review
• Antti Hurme (Marioff) will present an extraordinary case study: "Protection of heritage buildings - Notre Dame Cathedral"
• IWMA have invited Alan Brinson (EFSN) to speak about "Where next for water mist?"
• Xiangjang Zhou (FM) will speak about "Water mist extinguishment of ignitable liquid storage fires in cutoff rooms"
• One further highlight will be the bestowal of the Ragnar Wighus Award 2025 / Ph.D. This year's winner is Azad Hamzehpour (University Polytechnic of Turin, Italy). The title of his winning thesis is: "Experimental and simulation analysis of water mist systems for shielded fire applications"
