Honeywell has announced to its employees that the company is combining the Honeywell Security Group (HSG) and Honeywell Fire Safety (HFS) businesses to form the new Honeywell Security and Fire (HSF) business unit within the Automation & Control Solutions (ACS) division. The combination of the two businesses makes sense for Honeywell and for its customers as it offers a broader and more robust portfolio of products and end-to-end connected solutions for homes and buildings.

The new business will be led by David Paja as president of HSF, reporting to Alex Ismail, president and CEO of ACS. Paja, who joined the company in 2003 and most recently served as President of HSG. He also served as Vice President and General Manager for Honeywell Transportation Systems in China and India and has extensive global business, operational and marketing expertise.

The creation of this new business unit underscores the continued commitment of Honeywell to strengthen the depth of its technology and product offerings. These businesses are a natural fit because of their shared long legacy of life-saving innovation. The sales leaders within the legacy HSG and HFS businesses will remain in place to ensure continued focus on the customers’ success. The company remains committed to supporting its customers with the same level of reliable and quality products, service and delivery throughout this process, with a focus on transparency and open communication.
