ONVIF, the leading standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, announced today that it will host an open networking breakfast on Wednesday, 18 June as part of the upcoming IFSEC 2014 conference in London. Attendees will hear about Profile C, ONVIF's new access control specification, its new membership strategy and the progress the group has made. The ONVIF networking breakfast will be held from 9.30 - 10:30 a.m., in Meeting Room 33 at the ExCel London, and tea and coffee will be served.

ONVIF's growing membership of approximately 500 companies and more than 3,200 different conformant products available to the market signifies a continued growth in industry interest and adoption of the ONVIF specification. To continue the industry dialogue about the influence of standards in the physical security industry, ONVIF hosts a series of networking receptions and public interoperability demonstrations at major security industry conferences around the world. These gatherings continue to attract significant numbers of industry participants who are attending an ONVIF event for the first time or who have no affiliation with ONVIF.

Also at IFSEC 2014, ONVIF Chairman Per Björkdahl, will be presenting highlights of the current state of standardization initiatives on the security industry and ongoing impacts of ONVIF as part of the Convergence Solutions Theatre, 11:30 to 12:00 on Tuesday, 17 June. His presentation will include an overview of new functionalities in integrated video surveillance and access control systems through Profiles S, C and G and will explore what is next on the roadmap for ONVIF.

In addition, Björkdahl will participate in a panel discussion focusing on a review of standards developments. The panel will be comprised of key members of the industry's networks providers who will debate this topic. This event will take place from 13:00 to 14:00, Tuesday, June 17 in the Convergence Solutions Theatre, ExCel London.
