Aearo: G2000 Solaris protective helmet

Photo

Aearo: G2000 Solaris protective helmet. With outdoor work, the sun’s UV radiation gradually decomposes the plastic material of the helmet, so that in the long term the safety of the wearer is endangered.

The problem is that there is hardly any discernable difference between a new helmet and a helmet which has been impaired by the influence of UV.

Throughout the world, many helmets are still being worn after the end of their useful life. Thanks to Peltor, it is now possible to determine exactly when a helmet has reached the end of its life due to UV radiation.

The Uvicator is an indicator which is integrated into the helmet. Its form is similar to a small clock. Initially the indicator is filled with a strong red colour.

Over time, the colour in the Uvicator gradually fades. When it has become completely white, the safety helmet must be replaced.
