Forward Vision: critical surveillance for lifeboats

Photo

Forward Vision: critical surveillance for lifeboats. Forward Vision’s MIC1 PTZ camera is delivering critical surveillance video aboard Tamar, the newest class of lifeboats in the Royal Navy Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).

Featuring a Metal Power-Dome design for reliable performance in the extremely harsh conditions of the marine application, MIC1 cameras help the officers of the RNLI perform their mandate to provide 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboats have saved more than 137,000 lives. In 2005 RNLI lifeboats rescued 8,104 people – an average of 22 people per day.
