HID Global: Multiclass transition reader product line expanded

HID Global: Multiclass transition reader product line expanded. HID Global announced the expansion of its Multiclass transition reader product line, providing new access control migration options to help organizations transition from low frequency EM4102 proximity to high frequency Iclass contactless smart card technology.

The company’s Multiclass family of card readers is designed for customers upgrading their current card system from the most popular proximity technologies to Iclass credentials.

With the Multiclass RP40, RPK40 and RP15 readers, existing EM4102 proximity customers now have the ability to seamlessly transition to smart cards over time while incorporating the use of multiple card technologies within a single building or across multiple facilities.
