Mobile TETRA, DECT and GSM terminals

Mobile TETRA, DECT and GSM terminals were in the focus of Funkwerk group's presentation at CeBIT. For the first time, three business units of the Funkwerk group had a joint presence. Funkwerk Automotive Communications, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications and Funkwerk Security Communications were presenting innovative, German-made communication solutions as well as offering an overview of the multifaceted Funkwerk product range. Highlights presented at CeBIT by this high-tech company included professional security and communication solutions, tailor-made ITC-solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises and connectivity so-lutions for use in vehicles.

Funkwerk Security Communications presented its personal alarm systems at the Funkwerk AG stand. The current, ex-panded product range of TETRA, DECT and GSM terminals creates an optimal communication platform for a certified, modular security system that complies with all relevant standards.

A recent addition to the Funkwerk Security Communications range is the funkwerk FC4 Medical DECT handset. Thanks to the Gap/Cap standard, this model can integrated into all standard and integral DECT. An antim-icrobial coating, specially developed by FSC, effectively reduces the spread of germs on the casing. The modern, light-weight housing is dust-proof, water-jet resistant and complies with the IP65 standard of protection.
Further products in the DECT field include the funkwerk FC4 series of industrial handsets. In addition to the base model, a PNA handset that is certified in accordance with the ATEX 94/9/EG directive will also be dis-played at CeBit. This allows the safe use of the handset in areas with a high risk of explosion - either due to gas or dust.

TETRA
For Funkwerk Security Communications, TETRA is the technology of the future. The company, which is based in Lower Saxony, presented TETRA radio handsets equipped with high-quality sensor technology. Models developed with the chemical and petrochemical industries in mind include the explosion-protected FT4 Ex / FT4 S Ex versions. These comply with the ATEX 94/9/EG directive and have extremely robust cas-ings, which are the first on the market to be certified in accordance with IP65.
In all the funkwerk FT4-series handsets, personal emergency signal functions are integrated with automatic localisation, with four manual and four automatic alarm modes in addition to radio group and telephony functions.

Rounding off the CeBit 2011 presentation were the well-known per-sonal emergency systems, based on the public GSM mobile network, with nation-wide coverage.
