Maximum safety in the smallest possible space – the new safety switch CES-C04
The new CES-C04 from EUCHNER expands the comprehensive range of transponder-coded safety switches CES by a version with a very compact design.

It consists of two components: a read head with integrated evaluation electronics and an actuator. Transponder coding of the safety switch results in absolute security against tampering and ensures maximum safety in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 (Cat. 4/PLe).

The particularly small and compact housing design C04 and the option of a flexible actuator approach direction to the read head permit simple, space-saving attachment to the safety guard to be protected. The actuator position in relation to the read head can be ideally adjusted in three steps via a slot. The design of the safety switch permits use on doors hinged on the left and right.

For status indication, the CES-C04 features two LED displays that are readily visible at all times independently of the installation situation and thereby permit rapid diagnostics. Moreover, the new safety switch possesses a limit-range display with which possible misalignment of the safety guard is indicated in good time. This can prevent unintentional standstill of the system.

The CES-C04 is available in version AP for operation as a single unit and connection to decentralized peripheral equipment, such as SIMATIC ET 200pro, and in version AR for series connection of up to 20 devices. With the AR version, all transponder-coded safety switches from EUCHNER that offer the AR technology can be connected in series in addition to the CES-CO4.

The CES-C04 also features two safe semiconductor outputs and one monitoring output. Like all products in the CES family, the CES-C04 is also insensitive to vibrations. The high degree of protection IP67 permits use in a very harsh environment. A wide range of connecting cables and plug connectors ensures simple wiring of the safety switch.

EUCHNER – More than safety.
