Sicurit Alarmitalia Spa: contract awarded to secure U.S. Water Purification Plants. Sicurit Alarmitalia Spa, a manufacturer of advanced perimeter protection systems, and Safeguards Technology LLC, Sicurit‘s exclusive partner in the USA and also a provider of perimeter security solutions, have announced a contract award for a perimeter intrusion detection system for a U.S. Department of Works facility.

The contract award includes Sicurit’s unique Absolute IR/MW dual technology barriers. This barrier is an outdoor perimeter protection system that utilizes both infrared and microwave technologies working together and enclosed inside an extruded aluminum column.

The system ensures maximum reliability of intruder detection with minimum false alarms. Absolute columns can be custom designed to any height and component array to suit each particular security application.

The combination of infrared and microwave technologies allows maximum perimeter protection with coverage of up to 200m between transmitter and receiver columns.
