Here are the GIT SECURITY IFSEC highlights 2018:
Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt announced the release of a new range of SPC Wireless devices. The range of devices include detectors, panic buttons, fobs, and a transceiver. The devices are discreet and tasteful in design with sleek and modern lines to complement the interior styles of many environments, such as retail stores and apartment buildings.
Arecont
Arecont Vision demonstrated the company’s new Total Video Solution at IFSEC International 2018. IFSEC 2018 was the first public unveiling in Europe of the Contera VMS Video Management System, ConteraWS Web Services, Contera CMR Cloud Managed Recorders, and ConteraIP megapixel cameras that were announced earlier this year. The new Contera hardware, software, and services families join with the company’s industry-leading Arecont Vision MegaIP series of single and multi-sensor megapixel cameras, customer-proven across Europe and around the world.
Nedap
Nedap presented their Global Client Programme as an advanced project rollout system. It supports large multinationals in implementing, maintaining and updating AEOS – the leading access control system – across multiple international sites.
It also ensures that their access control is cyber secure, future-proof and secure by design, so clients can always adapt to future trends and risks. And it puts the focus on people, concentrating on how to make the professional lives of those working in multinationals easier.
Paxton
Paxton showcased the latest addition to its video door entry system, the Net2 Entry Premium monitor. Launched in April this year, the interior monitor provides a greater personalised experience with an elegant aesthetic design. The smart, slim monitor, with simple user interface, includes a quality glass touch screen and 25 background themes making it ideal for a range of applications including high-end residential, commercial buildings and healthcare sites. The monitor is available in two variations, with or without a handset. A desktop stand is also available, making it adaptable for various environments.
Avigilon
This year, Avigilon featured some of their most innovative products and technology, including their latest video, video analytics, artificial intelligence and access control solutions, an enhancement to Avigilon Appearance Search technology – their AI search engine – as well as their new H4 Video Intercom system for secured entry, and their Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology, an advanced AI technology that brings a new level of automation to security.
Flir Systems
Flir Systems announced six Flir Saros dome cameras at IFSEC. The Flir Saros dome cameras are the first group of products introduced to the Flir Saros family of outdoor security cameras that include patented and patent pending technologies that can deliver accurate, actionable alerts, and verified alarm data for outdoor commercial perimeters. Hanwha
At the Hanwha press briefing, we learned that highlighted is the power and reliability of our products and the quality of chosen partnerships, which gives Hanwha the confidence to deliver solutions with trust.
Stanley
Stanley introduced us to their Graphical Management System. ‘Over the last few years there has been a seismic shift in the technology that is incorporated into modern intruder alarm systems, and manufacturers have to demonstrate fresh and innovative thinking and design,’ commented Gavin O'Keeffe, Global Technical Director at Stanley Product & Technology. ‘The Pacom 8003 can significantly improve return on investment through a security solution that has been carefully engineered to protect people, property and assets – while reducing false alarms. The hybrid Pacom 8003 delivers more scalability, power and flexibility than any other integrated control panel in its class.’
Magos
Magos showed us that their affordable radars are suitable for a wide variety of security applications and are already installed in facilities ranging from Oil\Gas production sites through US Utility Substations and in small sites such as car lots and protected neighborhoods.
Genetec
With GDPR undoubtedly a hot topic of conversation at IFSEC, Genetec will continue in its mission to engage and educate IT and security professionals on the issues of privacy and cybersecurity. With the newly launched Genetec Trust Center, Genetec has created a central repository of educational materials focused on cybersecurity, privacy, and other Security of Security topics to help systems integrators and customers understand trusted best practices to keep people and organizations safe and secure.New features of Security Center (5.7) consist of enhanced privacy protection for individuals to help users meet new GDPR regulations as well as new cybersecurity features, including a reporting feature that automatically alerts system administrators to outdated camera firmware.
