Optex: outdoor intrusion detection

Usually sold as a package to include an alarm panel, indoor PIRs and door contacts, wireless intruder systems provide a quick-to-install and convenient way to detect intrusion into premises. However the level of protection would be much greater if the system was extended outside buildings, meaning intruder detection prior to break in.

In addition to early warning benefits, outdoor intrusion detection enhances asset protection, including vehicles on the driveway or equipment stored in garages or sheds. And this extra level of protection can easily be added on to the wireless alarm panels by installing Optex’s outdoor battery-powered sensors, fitted with a wireless transmitter using the same or compatible technology used by the panel.

Optex’s wireless sensor portfolio ranges from active infrared beams (AX and SL beams), short range outdoor volumetric PIRs (HX and VX series), and curtain detectors that protect windows and balconies (FTN and BX series).
The back box featured on the outdoor wireless sensor range accommodates most wireless transmitters available on the market.
