American Science and Engineering ("AS&E") announced today it has received its first order for a Z Backscatte Van (ZBV) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ZBV system will be used to screen vehicles at high threat security locations for explosive threats and contraband. Additional AS&E cargo inspection systems are currently deployed in Saudi Arabia, including the Z Portal screening system at a high-threat facility, and multiple OmniView Gantry systems for customs applications.

"We are very proud to protect a high level facility in Saudi Arabia with our Z Backscatter Van," said Anthony Fabiano, AS&E's President and CEO. "Our esteemed client now has the added flexibility and mobility of the ZBV system to protect several locations in the Kingdom from a wide variety of threats. Our clients in Saudi Arabia have responded very favorably to AS&E's first-class service, unmatched quality, and the outstanding detection capability of our unique systems."
