Building Technology: Honeywell Opens New Headquarters in Ratingen
Honeywell has a new address, at least locally: It just debuted a regional Building Automation headquarters for the DACH region on Berliner-Straße in Ratingen. After four years of planning and implementation, the company opened the new space in a modern building that showcases a commitment to customers, employees and the region.

The grand opening was attended by Honeywell’s local leadership, as well as Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell’s Building Automation segment.
"We built an amazing headquarters for the DACH region here," explains Klaus Hirzel, Business Leader Europe Central Region (DACH) for Building Automation. “The site features a Connected Buildings Excellence Center showcasing the latest building technologies to help improve occupant experience and productivity. It also includes modern training facilities that will enable engineers and installers from across Germany to train on the latest leading building control technologies.”
"We have a very large development team here with close cooperation with VdS. VdS is a leader in Europe for EN standards. Everything developed here also has great value for countries beyond Germany," emphasizes Hirzel.
