The Siemens Building Technologies Division has added a variety of new tools and support for additional applications to its open and modular Desigo CC building management platform

The Siemens Building Technologies Division has added a variety of new tools and support for additional applications to its open and modular Desigo CC building management platform which covers the complete scope from simple single-discipline systems to fully integrated buildings.

The support for large systems has been expanded even further: Desigo CC can now also tackle even the largest and most complex sites. Furthermore, the new version supports validated environments such as the pharma industry.

State-of-the-art energy and power reports are now provided that give building operators complete transparency over energy distribution, power quality events and consumption in their buildings. This information can be used to initiate the measures needed to save costs as well as to increase system reliability.

Advanced reports filter complex data to provide the meaningful information and transparency that building operators need to make data-driven decisions. A new scripting function makes it possible to develop actions that can be executed automatically or manually in response to certain events. Additional storage supports not only long-term archiving of collected data but also the gathering of additional data, making Desigo CC suitable for even the most comprehensive applications.

For the first time, Desigo CC is now available in a special version for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) which can be fully customized. The bandwidth of customizable features ranges from the user interface to adding disciplines and subsystems.

Finally, Desigo CC now has expanded migration tools that ease the switch from older-generation management systems to the state-of-the-art building management platform. Older versions of Desigo PX continue to be supported.
