Canon Europe announced at IFSEC 2011 its partnership with Ubiqz, a specialist distributor of security products and solutions. Together, Canon and Ubiqz will offer customers a complete network camera security solution for mid to high end market segments; from design and installation, through to completion and on-going customer service.

Ubiqz will offer Canon's network security camera and software products in UK & Ireland and the company expects to see demand from all market sectors, particularly government, retail and transport.

Ubiqz chose to partner with Canon due to its unique position in the network camera market; Canon has a 70 year history of developing high quality optics which is complemented by Canon hardware and analytics. The partnership means that Ubiqz will be able to offer customers Canon's entire range of network cameras that combine cutting edge lenses with highly detailed video capture.

Ubiqz has a team of specialist IT and security experts who tailor security networks to fit with an organisation's existing infrastructure. By employing IT experts and then training them thoroughly in security, Ubiqz ensures that its customers get unrivalled expertise and value from the services offered. Following an initial assessment of the customer's needs at installation stage, the distributor also provides on-going customer support to ensure that the system continues to add value in the future.

"Canon's ambition to become a specialist in IP solutions fits with our vision for Ubiqz, and the commitment and support they will provide will help us to grow our business further. The future of IP security lies with intelligent cameras and HD quality images; Canon's technology will keep us at the cutting edge of the network camera sector, while allowing us to continue to offer our customers the highest quality security solutions," Anand Subbiah, General Manager of Ubiqz commented.

Floris Oranje, Business Development Manager for Video Communications Cameras, Canon Europe says, "Canon is a recent entrant into the video surveillance sector and the partnership with Ubiqz is part of our strategy to develop our presence with a group of selected partners that will focus on bringing Canon to the right target markets. Ubiqz's expertise in design and installation and specialism in IP Video surveillance fits perfectly with our versatile line up of network cameras and together we can offer customers a truly compelling solution for all their security needs."
