ComNet, Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, a USA-based manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has announced that Robert Gallagher has been appointed as the company's Vice President of Network Systems and Security Solutions.
Gallagher's new role will be to support the ComNet sales team by providing solutions to the difficult network challenges our customers are facing as well as delivering Ethernet network training to ComNet customers across the country. The purpose of this role will be to enable ComNet to provide an unparalleled level of customer education on the topics of Ethernet\IP and communication networks. Additionally this role will directly support the ComNet Architect and Engineer company support program.
Rob Gallagher will report directly to Andrew Acquarulo Jr., ComNet President and COO. Most recently Gallagher held the role of Vice President of Engineering at ComNet and has more than 20 years of experience in engineering communication products and has an excellent working knowledge of Ethernet network applications and solutions.
"Rob has an exceptional understanding of what direction the communication product market is heading," stated Acquarulo. "Rob will be tasked to assist our sales team as they help our customers find new and innovative solutions to their most difficult transmission challenges using ComNet products.
