HDcctv Alliance announced that Euresys, a leader in the field of image acquisition and analytics for machine vision systems, has joined the Alliance. Euresys offers a complete range of innovative and high-performance image acquisition sub-systems for high-end video surveillance and industrial machine vision applications, as well as robust and powerful image analysis software tools for industrial machine vision.

"Joining the HDcctv Alliance is in line with our business strategy to incorporate high-definition video into our surveillance products," said Marc Damhaut, Euresys senior vice president of product management. "Euresys has 20 years experience in the design of video acquisition processing cards and systems for machine vision, medical and video surveillance applications. In the video surveillance market, we focus on mid- to high-end applications that require high-quality, high frame rate, and high-resolution images. We naturally view HDcctv as the next step to moving towards high-definition video."

"The addition of Euresys to the HDcctv Alliance increases our presence in Europe. Euresys brings a strong engineering pedigree to the Alliance, having participated in the creation of a variety of technically advanced standards," noted Todd Rockoff, HDcctv Alliance executive director. "Moreover, Euresys manufactures high-end video surveillance equipment, and we look forward to them working in partnership with other Alliance members to deliver video surveillance systems that take best advantage of HDcctv cameras."
