Knürr Technical Furniture: air-traffic control workstations for Zurich Airport. Knürr Technical Furniture installed six latest-generation air-traffic control workstations for Apron Control in the air-traffic control tower at Zurich Airport.

Every day, the air-traffic controllers in this area control and monitor more than 700 flight movements on the apron of the Swiss aviation hub. A total of five front workstations as well as one supervisor workstation were installed at apron control.

The planning for the new air-traffic controller workstations started back in March 2006. Even during the planning phase, the users themselves attached great importance to ergonomically designed workstations.

A separate height-adjustment facility for tables and monitors was therefore provided as well as an electrically operated monitor-tilt adjustment system to prevent users being blinded by reflections from the screens.
