Optelecom-NKF, global supplier of advanced video surveillance equipment announced its intention to participate in the Intersec 2011 trade show in Dubai. Amongst other innovations Optelecom-NKF will present the first ever AID video server and the first direct to fiber IP PTZ Camera. The award-winning Siqura TrafficServer will also be on exhibit and this product is the first video server ever to be integrated with automatic incident detection (AID) technology.

Traffic and Transit Solutions: With over 35 years of experience, Optelecom-NKF offers global surveillance solutions for three markets: Transportation, Government, and Critical Infrastructure. At Intersec 2011, Optelecom-NKF will show how its Siqura systems provide proven and customized IP solutions for traffic and transit applications.

The first direct to fiber IP PTZ Camera: Due to the ubiquitous nature and the advantages of fiber optic networks, as well as the current migration from analog to IP streaming, Optelecom-NKF is now offering its Siqura IP PTZ dome cameras with a fiber optic connector option. This feature simplifies both the setup and maintenance of roadside camera installations where a fiber network is utilized to overcome long distance limitations.

High-definition, ONVIF-compliant cameras: Optelecom-NKF will also show its high-definition, ONVIF-compliant camera line, a collection of six cameras in providing HD (720p) and Full HD (1080p) resolution images in H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG.

Pressurized IP PTZ dome for extreme conditions: Currently, Optelecom-NKF is developing a pressurized IP PTZ dome camera to offer a robust solution for the most taxing situations. It is capable of withstanding intense levels of solar heat (945VA UV protection) and providing high-quality video in environments with extreme levels of moisture, dirt, or pollution (IP67 Ingress Protection). This pressurized dome camera will be commercially available in the spring of 2011.

Video content analysis for system and surveillance: Optelecom-NKF will put its Camera Health Check video content analysis (VCA) application on display. This program is integrated into the Siqura S-64 E video server and checks the status or well-being of the attached cameras by monitoring the cameras' position and image quality. When something is amiss, the application triggers an alarm to promptly alert operators, thereby guaranteeing quality video material while at the same time reducing unnecessary maintenance costs.

The most efficient and compact eight-channel encoder on the market: Additionally, the eight-channel, low-power Siqura S‑68 E encoder will give Intersec visitors a glimpse of the most energy-efficient and compact video streaming solution currently available.

The first ever AID video server: The now well-known and award-winning Siqura TrafficServer will also be on exhibit. This innovative product is the first video server ever to be integrated with automatic incident detection (AID) technology.

While this array of examples demonstrates Optelecom-NKF's ability to fulfill the needs both of its customers as well as the industry, it also shows how Siqura solutions are essentially dynamic and can be tailored to any video networking need. Consequently, the Optelecom-NKF booth (Booth 1-525 C) may prove to be the best place for an open and lively conversation about how best to customize a video surveillance network for a specific situation.

"At Optelecom-NKF, we create innovative and reliable video surveillance solutions according to our customers' needs," explains Fabien Haubert, Optelecom-NKF's Senior Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). "We are flexible and we work closely with customers on site to design and deploy the optimal system. This is something that really sets us apart. We are eager to show attendees at Intersec 2011 just how flexible we are and how hassle-free life can be when you're working with Siqura surveillance solutions."
