On 1 October 2014 Rainer Fano became WAGNER's new Business Unit Manager America. Together with Albert Janjigian, well-known leader in the fire protection sector and president of WAGNER Fire Safety Inc., he will further expand WAGNER's business in Americas.
Fano has a degree in Industrial Engineering for Printing Technology as well as an MBA with a specialty in Export Economy. For 17 years he worked as a CEO for several companies in the medical engineering industrial sector. He then changed into the fire protection sector. The past ten years he worked for Siemens in Switzerland. At first he was responsible for Fire Safety and Security Products Asia Pacific. Afterwards he changed into the position as CEO of Siemens Buildings Technologies in Saudi-Arabia and South Africa. To change his perspectives Fano started working for WAGNER end of last year.
Together with Janjigian, Fano will be a key part of the management team at WAGNER Fire Safety Inc. The goal is to not only expand business operations but also to concentrate market development in core markets like storage and intralogistics which WAGNER specializes in. "In 2015 we will participate in the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) conference in Orlando and in the NFPA (National fire and trade show) in Chicago", says Fano.
Currently, WAGNER installs its fire prevention system OxyReduct with oxygen reduction in the new Preferred Freezer Services high-bay cold store in Richland, Washington State. With a protection area of 1, 05 million m3 it is the largest of its kind worldwide. The OxyReduct plant is scheduled to go into operation in May 2015.
