Rochford Thompson: high tech scanners for Lithuania. Lithuanian integrator Aideta – a subsidiary company of Ordi – was commissioned to provide enhanced security technology for Lithuanian border guards as part of the country’s process of integration with the 15 other Schengen members.

UK-based Rochford Thompson will provide document scanners to be used at border control points and also by police, immigration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials.

The €1.8 million contract, due to be completed this year, includes 20 RTE6701 and 85 RTE8000 scanners, plus PCs, laser printers and networking provided by Aideta.

Scanners are able to read all travel documents that conform to international standards specified by ICAO.

The RTE8000 is also ideal for busy airport terminals.
