Gary Rowden has been appointed Sales & Marketing Director of Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. Gary, who until recently was Sales Director of IP distributor Anixter International, has worked within the electronic security industry for over 20 years for both manufacturing and distribution companies.

Samsung has recently bolstered its IP and network product range with the introduction of Full HD megapixel network cameras and is on its way to
become a total solution provider for security. Some weeks ago Johan Park, Managing Director of Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd., has explained Samsungs expansion plans in an interview with GIT SECURITY.

"We are delighted to have been able to recruit Gary to provide leadership of our pan-European sales and marketing teams," said Johan Park, "We are committed to building a successful European company and in particular strengthening or position in both the IP security solutions and consumer security market place. Gary's leadership and knowledge of how to promote and support IP and network solutions will be immensely valuable in helping us achieve our goals."

Samsung's philosophy of delivering Smarter Security is reflected in a product portfolio which provides customers with the flexibility to choose the best solution for the job in hand. It enables customers to easily upgrade from an analogue system to an IP and network based solution in the smartest way for their business. A key objective for 2012 and beyond is to prove to installers, systems integrators, specifiers and end-users, how they can choose Samsung IP equipment and be confident that it will meet, if not exceed, their expectations. At the same time, Samsung's range of consumer security products, which includes baby monitors and soon to be launched smart home cameras, are redefining the way people use video in their homes.

"I am very excited about having the opportunity to work with sales colleagues throughout Europe to oversee the next stage of Samsung's development in the security marketplace. Samsung now offers a comprehensive range of IP security solutions from cameras to recorders and switches, and is therefore able to offer a one-stop-shop for most projects," said Gary Rowden. "Our goal is to effectively communicate to customers that with the correct advice and guidance they need not have any fear of embracing what is truly an exciting technology which offers so many benefits, not the least of which is the opportunity to gain maximum advantage from the latest HD megapixel cameras."

Gary will be based at Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd's European head quarters in Chertsey and can be contacted on Tel: +44 (0)1932 45 5308 or by email: gary.rowden@samsung.com
