SectorGuard: protecting top campus sites. Some of the highest profile university and campus buildings in London and the South East are being protected by security officers from SectorGuard, following the extension of a successful contract with the London Universities Purchasing Consortium.

The contract, which is to run through to 2008, involves more than 5,000 man-hours of security at some of the country’s leading institutions, including Birkbeck College, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Royal Holloway, University of London.

The company’s range of services has also increased significantly during the lifetime of the agreement. It now also installs and maintains a wide range of electronic security and fire systems, and is providing services to a number of educational institutions in addition to LUPC members.
