The University of Buraimi (UOB) is a private university in the Al Buraimi Governorate in the Northern part of Oman. The university was officially opened on 6 November 2010.
The University of Buraimi is committed to quality education ensuring its students will enrich the workforce of Oman and the global markets. The unique academic partnership ensures that students receive the highest possible educational and international standards.
Solution
Uniview provided more than 150 cameras and several NVRs for video surveillance in the UOB, providing high resolution images and stable systems. The cameras are installed all over the campus, such as teaching building, parking area, lift, kitchen, sport ground and library.
UNV cameras are able to fit in diversified sceneries. For example, cameras with 2.8mm lenses were installed in the lift to cover a wide angle area. On the other hand, for monitoring out-door open areas like sports grounds, 3 cameras were installed at one pole, to seamlessly cover every angle.
Highlights
- Strong decoding ability: 32-ch 720P decoding ability: With numerous cameras connected, the NVR can decode up to 32-ch 720P HD video at 30fps at real time (equal to 16-ch 1080P). All cameras especially key areas can be monitored.
- High level data safety: redundant design and RAID NVR: UNV NVR supports hot swap to prevent data loss. For data storage, the NVR provides different Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks like RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10. Even if one of the HDD breaks down, the NVRs can prevent the data missing and rebuild RAID in a short time.
- High quality image: WDR, smart IR
In order to produce high quality image at any time, UNV cameras installed indoor support 120dB WDR and smart IR. The smart IR function ensures that the IR light automatically changes according to the moving object distance, producing clear image at any time. The WDR function can easily cope with different lighting conditions especially with high contrast situations, and therefore guarantees that no information is missing on the video.
