Visual Defence: 25-year deal for African airport. Visual Defence announced that it has won a major 25-year deal for outsourced security operations at a principal government-run African airport worth between US$ 140–250 million.

Recently US government investigators were able to successfully smuggle liquid explosives undetected past airport security.

Despite the major overhauls globally to passenger screening and overall airport security, a more comprehensive view into security systems is needed, most especially in the airports of developing countries where airport security regulations may not be as stringent as those of North American and European nations.
