Yemen Customs Orders Vans for Cargo and Vehicle Screening

American Science and Engineering ("AS&E") announced today the receipt of an additional order from Yemen Customs for two of the Company's top selling Z Backscatter Vans (ZBV) to screen cargo and vehicles for explosive threats and contraband to fight terrorism at seaports and land border crossings.

Yemen Customs previously purchased two ZBV systems in December 2010 with an exercisable option for two additional systems. "We are very proud to be supporting Yemen Customs and their counterterrorism missions," said Anthony R. Fabiano, President and CEO. "With these additional ZBV systems, Yemen Customs has four very powerful and effective tools to inspect cargo and vehicles to secure their seaports and borders. We are working very closely with customs officials to meet their requirements for detection and performance for port and border security. The systems' flexible and rapid response capabilities will provide them with unparalleled mobility and flexibility for rapid bomb detection."
