Bosch Introduces Long Range All-in-one Day/night Camera

Bosch Security Systems announces the release of a new all-in-one Infrared Imager camera for long range, outdoor day/night surveillance.

The ZX55 and ZX55-IP feature Bosch's proprietary infrared technology for high resolution, low noise night-time imaging to 300 meters. A powerful 9-90mm IR corrected lens eliminates focus shift and IR bleed to enable an unrivalled long range detail capture and deliver the highest levels of 24/7 protection. The ZX55-IP, moreover, features a power processor for on-board Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) to monitor scene activity and flag user-defined events such as alarms. The ZX55-IP embodies a high-performance tri-stream video encoder capable of delivering MPEG-4 and MJPEG Video over IP at 30 fps and full resolution. The tri-stream encoder also allows for simultaneous high-resolution viewing and high-efficiency storage.

The camera is capable of delivering long range classification and recognition level surveillance, and identification level performance to 100 meters - giving operators the ability to distinguish facial features. This level of image detail gives users the information needed to make the important security decisions required for critical surveillance applications such as perimeter protection, utility, transport and critical asset monitoring.

IP68/NEMA4 rated for outdoor operation in the most extreme weather conditions, the camera's rugged weather-sealed housing is capable of withstanding up to 250 km/h wind loading, the top and side sunshields to reflect heat in applications that expose the camera to intense direct sunlight. An integral flow-through vent allows airflow to directly cool the high-performance unit and lower internal temperatures.
