Bosch Rexroth: Function Module SIL 3. With the SIL 3 function module, control components from Rexroth can be optionally extended in order to fulfil the tasks of “functional security” up to SIL 3 in addition to “functional applications” – regardless of the automation solution.
A single module for all solutions ensures the greatest possible continuity. With the engineering tool IndraWorks, all components can be configured, parameterised and programmed.
It offers the user integrated support for ease of programming which is compliant with the standard. The only 20 mm thick Safety Module uses the interfaces of the standard control unit and enables the operation of all components on a cable – whether control unit, drive unit or peripheral, and regardless of whether security-relevant of non security-relevant.
The cycle time of the standard control unit is not influenced by the Safety Application.
