Cloud Storage Solution for Sensitive Video Material

Photo

The new solution is ideal for installations requiring multiple stakeholders to oversee video footage and where clips may potentially include sensitive or personal video data. Examples include, public venues, construction sites, retail outlets, shopping centres, warehouses and factories.

Video is stored within the cloud in a centralised video archive with no additional hardware costs.

Operators no longer have to manage the retrieval of multiple video clips from different NVRs individually and instead have one platform for video management such as setting expiry dates and updating case files.

VIGIL NVR Case Management uses georedundant cloud storage to ensure that sensitive videos are safe and secure on the cloud, giving added peace of mind. Watermarked videos can be retrieved years after the event, so helping with criminal and other investigations.

Sensitive Data in Watermarked Videos

NVR Case Management also provides a simple interface to generate expiring, sharable links to send watermarked videos to external parties, as well as the means to view them.

3xLOGIC Director, Product Management Mike Poe said, “We recognise the growing demand for cloud storage capabilities in the surveillance industry and have launched our NVR Case Management solution to cater for this.

"There is an increasing amount of sensitive video data being collected and stored, so it is crucial that organisations invest in a secure and reliable storage solution.

"With its cloud storage capabilities, centralised video archive, and scalability, 3xLOGIC's NVR Case Management will help organisations keep up with technological advances today while futureproofing them for tomorrow.”

HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.

DEHNventil ACI M: Standard-compliant Surge Protection in Industry

High demands are placed on the availability of switchgear in, for example, industrial plants, data centres, hospitals and large administrative buildings. This makes surge protection essential. At the same time, replacement of the surge protection module should not influence system availability. The new DEHNventil ACI M TNS 264 FM has no backup fuse and is flexible in terms of its application. In the event of a fault, the protection module is safely disconnected and can be quickly removed from the base part from either side or the front. The touch-safe design allows the protection module to be replaced without system downtime. The ACI technology employed also enables connection cross-sections of just 16 mm2. This facilitates installation and saves time.
