Elatec Exhibited Mobile Security
Recently exhibited at Intersec 2026 in Dubai, Elatec’s universal RFID readers support virtually any access application, anywhere in the world. Their agnostic design strategy means that the readers can support multiple technologies, frequencies, and protocols for easy integration and interoperability.
The versatile Elatec RFID readers are flexible, powerful, and future-proof. Some potential applications include driver identification so that they can be matched to vehicles, or enabling telematics systems in vehicle fleets for example. Elevator control is another application that would grant access to specific floors, as well as track and monitor usage. The readers can also be applied to provide a single sign-on, unlocking business systems, files, and data required for their particular work to specific employees. RFID-controlled access is more convenient than having various passwords.
Apart from enabling physical access security, the Elatec readers can also be put to work as part of a backend time and attendance recording system. Or they can grant access to EV charging points and prevent unauthorized usage. In this scenario, they would help to match the driver identity for later payment, or user loyalty. And on the theme of transport, the RFID readers can help to release cars or other shared vehicles, with two wheels or four.
