Hans Turck: Safety Controller SC22-3. With the SC22-3 safety controller, Turck has presented an efficient solution for the connection of several safety devices to machinery control units.
The controller, which was developed by the partner Banner Engineering, replaces many dedicated safety relays and links input devices such as emergency stop switches, scanning curtains, double-handed controls, interlock switches or safety mats with the control unit of the machinery.
In total, 22 contactbased and PNP switch inputs can be monitored, so that a wide range of input types for safety and nonsafety devices is covered. Each input can be allocated to one of the three two-channel safety outputs.
A combination of LC display and LED status lamps informs the user at all times of the power supply, error conditions, output and communication status with the PC.
