High Definition Panasonic WJ-NV200 NVR available through Norbain

Packed with intelligent features and delivering leading-edge technology within an adaptive PC-less set-up, the Panasonic WJ-NV200 Network Video Recorder is now available through Norbain.

Capable of up to 30ips real-time recording across all channels in multi format, the WJ-NV200 16-channel recorder employs a simple GUI and mouse control, making the selection of cameras, recording and camera control as simple as possible. A built-in decoder eliminates the need for a PC, reducing the total cost of ownership and complication of operation. The recorder also supports Full HD output via a HDMI connection, so live and recorded images may be displayed in High Definition image resolution, with around four times the picture clarity of standard definition images.
Most impressive, is the NV200's new intelligent face-matching feature. Working with Panasonic's latest i-Pro SmartHD cameras, up to 8 faces at a time can be recognised and matched to a flexible database of up to 16 face images. Triggered recordings, or alarms based on the database allow users to flag up specific persons, such as known criminals, or recognised customers.

To aid simple set-up and usability, a quick search with calendar and timeline ensures recordings are easy to find. Estimated recording days are also calculated based on the number of system cameras, frame rate, image quality and HDD capacity.
In line with the Panasonic's Eco ideas and environmental innovation, the WJ-NV200 supports an automatic back light control feature, which reduces power consumption by up to 74% with inactivity on corresponding WV-LW monitors. Thus the WJ-NV200 can provide an intelligent answer to further reduce costs and improve environmental performance, whilst maximising security.

"Its effortless, 'analogue-like' 4-stage set-up and intuitive operation makes the WJ-NV200 supremely versatile for a range of security surveillance applications, whilst ensuring ease of use," says Buzz Coates, Norbain's Branded CCTV manager. "For larger camera count installations, the NV200 can be cascaded, when used in conjunction with Panasonic's WV-ASM100 system software."
