The "operation area monitoring" is an option of the KeTop Safe Wireless system for determining the distance from KeTop terminals to the base station. It keeps the operator in the area where there is a view of the danger zone. Operation area monitoring is a function that consists of hardware and software and must be present on both the KeTop terminal and the base station. The operating range was previously defined by the cable length, which now corresponds approximately to the set operating range, i.e. a virtual cable length with operating area monitoring.

The operating area monitoring compensates for a significant disadvantage of the elimination of the cable: While a cable can be dimensioned in such a way that the operator must be able to see the danger zone, the radio range of the Safe Wireless System can be too far. If you want to ensure that operation only takes place within a visual range, an additional measure must be taken into account. Operation area monitoring is one solution for such an additional measure. Alternative options such as fencing, 3rd party hardware - e.g. indoor GPS are generally more expensive than the option with the KeTop Safe Wireless system.

DEHNventil ACI M: Standard-compliant Surge Protection in Industry

High demands are placed on the availability of switchgear in, for example, industrial plants, data centres, hospitals and large administrative buildings. This makes surge protection essential. At the same time, replacement of the surge protection module should not influence system availability. The new DEHNventil ACI M TNS 264 FM has no backup fuse and is flexible in terms of its application. In the event of a fault, the protection module is safely disconnected and can be quickly removed from the base part from either side or the front. The touch-safe design allows the protection module to be replaced without system downtime. The ACI technology employed also enables connection cross-sections of just 16 mm2. This facilitates installation and saves time.
