Robowatch: robotic fire engine

Robowatch: robotic fire engine. The Berlin robotics company Robowatch develops systems and vehicles that warn people in risky situations and protect them from dangers in due time.

By order of the Shanghai Fire Brigade, for example, a robotic fire engine has been developed on the basis of the eight-wheel Chrysor. The vehicle can go even in difficult areas without a driver in an autonomic and remote-controlled manner.

Thus, it can enter hazardous fire areas in order to exactly position water guns and foam extinguishers. At the same time, the firemen are supplied in a safe distance with real-time data produced by infrared cameras as well as significant information from the on-board sensor system (chemical/toxic data) to enable them to properly plan their situational assignment.

The vehicle itself is equipped with a special splinter shield and heat protection to withstand the extreme conditions in such dangerous situations.
