Salto’s New Product Line Up

Photo

Salto is excited to present at IFSEC 2016 – on stand G1400 – a comprehensive new range of access control products and technologies that offer unrivalled usability, capability and flexibility.

New JustIN technology brings real-life and flexibility to access control and makes it easy and secure to use smartphones as a part of your access control solution. Using Salto’s internally developed JustIN apps, Salto’s two mobile solutions make it easy.

Salto’s JustIN Mobile Key app allows users to use their BLE-enabled smartphone to securely receive their keys online, anytime and anywhere, and then access doors directly with their phone. An alternative solution is JustIN mSVN (mobile Salto Virtual Network) that permits extending or changing access rights instantly and remotely Over The Air (OTA) using Salto’s mSVN app for NFC- enabled phones.

New ProAccess Space software is designed to build on the established Salto ProAccess and hams family, and is a web-based software with an easy to install SQL database engine embedded inside. Space’s modular design has customer-specific activation codes at its centre, letting users choose and pay for just the features and functions they need now, with the flexibility to upgrade accordingly at a later date as their needs grow.

Because it has a web-based interface, it means the system can be managed or operated from different workstations simultaneously without risk of database corruption. No need to install the software in all operator PCs, but rather simply install Salto ProAccess Space Service in one server or computer, then give access to other authorized computers inside the network. Space works with Microsoft Explorer, Safari, and Firefox and can be used with Windows tablets.

Joining these products will be a new range of wall readers and control units, both of which work with ProAccess Space. The new wall readers follow the design aesthetics of the company’s latest products, and are part of the XS4 2.0 product range, while the new CU4000 control unit provides users with the ability to control up to 10 doors with just a single IP point.

To see the full potential of Salto’s mobile solutions and Space software, as well as new wall readers, controllers, GEO cylinders and more, please visit Salto’s IFSEC stand G1400 for a live demo.

HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.
