Suprema X-Station now available through Norbain

The new Suprema X-Station Smart IP Access Terminal featuring a 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD and built-in camera is now available through Norbain. Suprema's X-Station offers RFID & keypad reader/controller functions with an array of cutting-edge technologies.

Its 3.5-inch heavy-duty touch-screen LCD with smart phone style graphic user interface provides exceptional usability and convenience. On the hardware side, the device offers a stack of innovative features, including a built-in camera for face detection, powerful 667 MHz CPU for Windows CE based device operation, TCP/IP interface, and time & attendance hot keys. The face detection technology in X-Station provides an increased level of security and an effective workforce management solution. With its built-in camera, X-Station detects and captures human face images after card/PIN authorisation. This can avoid unauthorised access attempts and prevent possible payroll fraud like buddy-punching. The device can store up to 5,000 face image logs in its internal flash memory and also send image logs to the server with its TCP/IP interface.

In addition, X-Station is fully compatible with BioStar, Suprema's IP based distributed access control management system. The device offers intelligent controller functions with its network interfaces and the IP-based system concept brings significant cost savings in installation and maintenance by leveraging existing networks. It also offers comprehensive communication interfaces including TCP/IP, 2-channel RS485, Wiegand interfaces, and relays. Available in 13.56 MHz Mifare or 125KHz EM card versions, it provides greater flexibility for users in designing their own access control systems.
