Touchscreen IP Access Control with Face Detection

Suprema has launched its X-Station, an RFID-based IP access control terminal with 3.5-inch touch screen LCD and a built-in camera for face detection feature.

The terminal offers RFID & keypad reader/controller functions with array of cutting-edge technologies. The 3.5-inch heavy-duty touch screen LCD with smart phone-style graphic user interface provides extreme usability and convenience. On the hardware side, the device offers e.g. a built-in camera for face detection, a 667 MHz processor for Windows CE based device operation, TCP/IP interface and time & attendance hot keys.

The face detection technology provides increased level of security and effective workforce management solution. With its built-in camera, the terminal detects and captures human face images after card/PIN authorization.
