Ifsec 2007 with highest attendance ever. Organisers of this year´s Ifsec announced a record number of people attended the show, when it took place from 21–24 May 2007 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.
It attracted 32,368 security professionals from a range of companies including Tesco, Capita, Lloyds TSB, Mclaren, Sainsbury’s and South West Trains, as well as the NHS and the European Commission.
Opening the event and attending the show for the first time, Baroness Ruth Henig, Chair of the Security Industry Association said “I’ve learned enough since January to appreciate that Ifsec is an essential stage of my security education. There is general agreement that this is the world’s leading annual security event, covering 100,000 m2, nine exhibition halls and over 1,000 companies from over 40 countries. I am looking forward to seeing as much of the exhibition as I can, and I am enormously grateful to all those who have invited me here for giving me the opportunity to come and network and to see all the latest technology and security solutions.”
As well as providing visitors with a wide variety of the latest products and services to hit the market, Ifsec 2007 also presented a comprehensive educational programme. A series of three themed seminar theatres offered visitors free seminar sessions on everything from counter terrorism strategy to the latest command and control software, to IP cameras.
