Mobotix rings in the New Year with several innovations, including Mx Activity Sensor 2.0, a proprietary network switch intended for installations in smaller spaces and an update to the MxMC 1.3 Video Management Software.
Alongside the activity sensor, which is available in the latest firmware version, Mobotix now offers a four-way sensor known as Mx Multi Sense. This records information such as the noise level, movement (PIR), temperature and brightness and is an inexpensive supplement to camera installations. It also monitors areas that cannot be captured by cameras.
Power Over Ethernet
The company has also introduced a PoE+ capable network switch – Mx Switch – a compact DIN rail module that can be used to directly connect and power up to four Mobotix Door Stations, cameras or other PoE/PoE+ devices. It is very well suited for IP installations in small systems and, thanks to its minimal mounting height, ensures quick and simple installation into any electrical cabinet. Mx Switch also reduces cabling during the process of installing the fully preconfigured T25 Smart Access Set 2. This is an easy-to-start security solution using Smart Home technology and is particularly well suited for use in single-family homes and small businesses.
The latest video management version of Mx Management Center, V1.3, was recently released and was already downloaded over 10,000 times in the first five weeks since its launch. It offers many new functions that make the software even more efficient and easy to use. For instance, an expandable tree structure in the device bar provides a clear overview and enables simple navigation between cameras and camera groups.
