Barco announced that the "Biggest Screen in the Chinese Telecom Industry" - composed of 85 high-performance 80'' DLPs - has officially started operations in Shanghai Mobile's Network Management Center. Supporting the center's role as a real-time dispatch and command center, the DLP wall enables 24 / 7 information monitoring and display. In addition, the center's large high-definition screen, composed of Barco's 67'' DLP rear products, is used for daily dispatching and emergency commands.

Concerning the reason for choosing Barco, the person in charge of the network management center says, "After careful market analysis, we were deeply impressed by Barco's stability and reliability in major projects. We firmly believe that Barco's high-quality DLP products will ensure 24 / 7 information monitoring and display in the centre, providing excellent assistance to communications in Shanghai Expo."

The largest DLP wall in China's telecom industry comprises 85 80'' DLP rear display units from the Overview D2 Series. Applying the latest digital-display technology, it presents the highest level in brightness, picture definition, Color Anti-false Recognition and Image Uniformity technology. With its unique modular design and proprietary 0.2mm stitching technique, the DLP wall can meet the needs of virtually any control room and display wall. The display's dual redundant lamp design maintains clear and consistent image output while saving on operational costs. Furthermore, the advanced optical adjuster maintains uniform brightness and contrast across the entire screen, ensuring long-term stability.

Designed as a matrix, with resolution of up to 23,800×5250 pixels, the wall displays extra-large seamless images.

Fei Yan, Managing Director of Barco China, says: "Shanghai Mobile's Network Management Center will play an important role in detecting radio signals and monitoring equipment operation at the Expo site. The key issue is to ensure signal detection and information display 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are proud that Barco has proven its excellence. At the same time, we are very privileged to support the communications operation for Shanghai Expo."
