Bosch: intrusion control panel showed at a US cable television network show. An intrusion control panel from Bosch Security Systems was featured on a major US cable television network show The “It Takes a Thie” television programme demonstrates security weaknesses in residential and small business properties and how to solve them.

The show episode focussed on the vulnerability of a private home in New York to breaking and entering and how ineffective an outdated intrusion alarm system can be. The show host – a former thief – staged a break-in to the home through a side door and entered easily without the alarm system being triggered.

He then showed the owner how to update the alarm system with the Bosch Easy Series Control Panel, which can be conveniently activated and deactivated using a small remote radio frequency identification (RFID) device.

When activated, the control panel can send a text message to the owner’s mobile phone to inform of any event taking place. The interface is two-way voice-prompted (available in more than 30 different languages through a plugin module) for both installers and users.

The panel display indicates system status with simple animated icons.
