Canon Europe demonstrates its latest ground-breaking network visual solutions (NVS) technologies at Canon EXPO 2015 in Paris. These new developments highlight Canon’s commitment to the NVS market as the company responds to society’s ever-expanding monitoring and surveillance needs, including solutions for beyond the security market.
On show for the first time in Europe is Canon’s concept high-sensitivity network camera with ultra-telephoto lens. This high-magnification lens makes it possible to achieve eight times the level of brightness of conventional telephoto network camera models, meaning that clear and accurate monitoring and filming is possible in extremely low light, without the need for infrared imaging.
At EXPO, Canon will highlight NVS as a key area for future growth over the next five years. In the EMEA region alone, the video surveillance market is estimated to be close to €18 billion by 2018, and Canon will continue to strengthen its leadership in this dynamic and fast growing market.
Canon’s latest NVS technology and solutions will be on show at the event alongside the latest innovations from Canon Group companies Axis and Milestone. The three companies will be demonstrating the individual strengths of their offerings, as well as voicing how working together will bring customers even more innovation and value in the future.
“Canon’s new group companies, Axis and Milestone, will play pivotal roles in helping achieve our global ambition in the surveillance market,” comments Jacco Leurs, Canon Europe’s Head of Network Visual Solutions. “They bring a wealth of experience, customers, partners, technologies and solutions. Canon’s global investment in network visual solutions reinforces our commitment to the industry and to strengthening our research and development in this area over the next five years and beyond.”
In addition to Canon’s NVS technologies being used to help improve surveillance in a security context, there will be demonstrations at Canon EXPO of how NVS capabilities might be used to drive improvements in such diverse application areas such as tourism and sport.
