Codebench and Hirsch Identive announce the integration of Codebench's PIVCheck Plus software with Hirsch Identive's Velocity Management Software, providing federal government and commercial customers with a start-to-finish solution for identity validation, authentication and PACS registration using mobile handheld devices.
Pairing PIVCheck with Velocity helps users comply with HSPD-12 and PIV-I requirements by enabling them to validate and register FIPS-201 credentials, continue that validation on an ongoing, user-defined schedule, and provide instant certificate status when the credentials are presented at a reader.
Codebench CEO Geri B. Castaldo is excited about the partnership. "By teaming with Hirsch Identive, Codebench compatible third-party mobile devices running PIVCheck Plus now can be used to validate and register FIPS-201 credentials leveraging Velocity, one of the most highly regarded security management platforms in the market today," says Castaldo.
Codebench's PIVCheck Software Suite is a card validation, authentication and registration solution for HSPD-12 compliance with software components that run on both desktop and ruggedized handheld mobile devices. Hirsch Identive's Velocity Management Software seamlessly integrates security systems including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and recording, photo ID badging, smart cards, biometrics and interoperability with other building and business systems. Together, these leading solutions enable the use of handheld smart card readers to authenticate, authorize and secure identities to help customers deliver security anywhere.
"Hirsch has found a rare blend of adherence to standards and innovation in our partnership with Codebench," says John Guerrero, Vice President of Business Solutions for Hirsch Identive. Hirsch can now offer handheld HSPD-12 or FIPS-201 and TWIC compliance by leveraging a facility's physical access control system for card validation, authentication, and registration."
