On the afternoon of February 20, Dahua Technology successfully held Dahua Vertical Security Summit 2020 - its first vertical industry summit in Western Europe - in Vatican Museums.
Focusing on retail and transportation, Dahua Vertical Security Summit 2020 brought together industry experts from different vertical markets to share their views on current security industry trends. Among the distinguished guests were 40 important Dahua business partners and system integrators from all nations in Western Europe. VIP guests include Mr. Claudio Pantaleo, a renowned transportation expert in Western Europe and recipient of Maestro del Lavoro (a most valuable Medal of Honor in Italy); and Prof. Manuel di Casoli, a successful retail expert in Western Europe, the security officer for 3 renowned chain supermarket groups in Italy as well as the Chief Security Officer of Expo 2015 in Milan.
The summit kicked off with an opening speech by the Technology Support & Development Officer of Vatican Museums, Mr. Luca Della Giovampaola, and General Manager of Dahua Western Europe, Mr. David Shen. Subsequently, Prof. Manuel di Casoli and Mr. Claudio Pantaleo also gave speeches on the development trends of retail and transportation industry respectively. A representative from Dahua Western Europe team showcased Dahua Technology’s advanced solutions including Smart Transportation, Smart Retail as well as success stories. During the final panel discussion, industry experts shared their insights into the development trends of security in different industries.
Later, the guests visited the Vatican Museums, whose current security systems are provided by Dahua Technology. As one of the most prestigious cultural heritages in the world, the Vatican Museums attracts more than 20,000 visitors globally every day. Dahua security solution has enabled the staff of the museum to monitor the flow of visitors and prevent congestion, defend against damages and attacks, as well as gather data for analysis purposes, bringing out a smarter and safer Vatican Museums. In addition, Dahua Technology honorably became a Technological Partner of the Vatican Museums since 2018.
