Detection Technology opens talent hub in Nanjing

X-ray detector solutions provider Detection Technology will establish a talent hub in Nanjing, China to boost the development of its offering beyond hardware.

The talent hub will be operational at the beginning of 2022, and recruitment has already started. The Nanjing talent hub will be profiled as a competence pool of software, algorithm, firmware, and electronics developers.

Software-driven Solutions for X-ray imaging

“Software-driven detector solutions are on their way. For 30 years, we have been at the frontier of digitalizing X-ray imaging, and we aim to maintain our position as the pioneer in the field. Now, we are expanding our global footprint to strengthen our capabilities to meet future megatrends and the demand for higher-end detector solutions in which software and algorithms play a key role. This is in line with the DT-2025 strategic targets — we are actively looking for business opportunities beyond hardware,“ says Hannu Martola, President and CEO of Detection Technology Plc.

“After careful studies, we decided to establish the talent hub in Nanjing, as there are many high-standard universities, research institutes, and well-known international companies, which form a perfect ecosystem for talent acquisition and building partnerships. It is also worth noting that a number of our customers are located there, so we are better positioned to enhance customer experience in the area. In addition, Nanjing is just one hour from our service and production site in Wuxi.”

Nanjing Business Center

The company will set up the talent hub in Nanjing city center to benefit from good public transportation and improved brand image. The office will be located in Nanjing City Center Plaza. Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province of the People's Republic of China. Nanjing has ranked highly in national and international evaluations for its development as one of the top industrial centers, and it has an impressive history and cultural heritage.
