Canon Europe partnered with solution providers Digital Barriers, Ipsotek, and Intelico, to show their joint expertise best-in-class security solutions across smart cities, critical infrastructure, transport and government industries at Ifsec International.
Julian Rutland, European NVS Marketing Director, Canon Europe comments, “We’re honoured to host some of the best solution providers at Ifsec International this year. They are experts in their fields, and together we are showcasing the strength of our combined innovation for a range of security applications. This year in particular, we’re focused on highlighting how our bespoke solutions can adapt to a variety of situations across key industries for our system integrators.”
Digital Barriers
Digital Barriers demonstrated its EdgeVis Live wireless technology in conjunction with the Canon VB-R11VE speed dome. The demonstration showed how these solutions can work together to allow customers to deliver true real-time high-definition surveillance, over any wireless network. This solution, designed for quick and easy city-wide deployment, demonstrated its unique low-bandwidth secure streaming features that address challenges such as bandwidth congestion, cyber security and network operating costs.
With the exceptional PTZ functionality and long range zoom capabilities of the VB-R11VE, this combined solution is ideal for monitoring large city areas and is easy to reposition remotely. In addition, visitors will see how Smart Shade Control technology optimises exposure to improve highlights and correct dark areas, useful for backlit conditions in locations such as car parks and transportation hubs.
Intelico
Visitors at IFSEC will see how Intelico’s Accuplate technology, in conjunction with the Canon VB-M50B, can allow customers to capture crisp and clear images of vehicle number plates, no matter the lighting conditions. The VB-M50B’s innovative Clear IR View Mode, which combines an IR Band Pass Filter (IRBPF) and new image processing capabilities, will demonstrate how monochrome images can be captured in superb definition in any lighting condition. This filter cuts out any obstructive lighting, such as vehicle headlights, to produce a clear image, particularly in low-light conditions such as in carparks or at night.
There will also be a video demonstration of how Intelico’s Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) platform can capture images of three lanes of traffic on a motorway with the Canon VB-H43 PTZ camera, something that was not previously possible with any other camera that Intelico has tested.
Ipsotek
Ipsotek will show a combination of live video analytics and facial recognition technology with Ipsotek’s VISuite technology and the Canon VB-S30D, suitable for a diverse range of applications where it is essential to achieve real time awareness in CCTV deployment within government, transport, critical infrastructure and finance.
The demonstration will highlight how these technologies can be used in parallel to detect specific incidents and behaviours in real-time, while also using facial recognition technology to capture and compare face data. The Canon VB-S30D excels in providing the precise field of view and pixel density that is required by the highly specific capability of facial recognition.
A team of technical and channel development experts will be available at IFSEC International (stand F500, London ExCel, 21-23 June) to meet with the industry and answer any questions.
