Genetec is proud to announce that Bill Nash has joined Genetec in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Nash will augment Genetec's existing executive team with his experience in successfully mentoring fast-growing high tech companies and he will help formulate policies and procedures needed to proactively manage the growth Genetec is anticipating for the coming years.

With many years of operational and management expertise, Mr. Nash, a chartered administrator, comes to Genetec with an impressive track record of driving operational results for various successful companies. Prior to joining Genetec, Mr. Nash was the COO of Eicon Technology Corporation where he was instrumental in growing the company from 4 to 750 employees with revenues of $175M. He subsequently worked for several technology companies and served on the Board of Directors for the Société d'assurance automobile du Québec, Quebec's government-operated automobile insurance agency. During his tenure, the board oversaw the successful financial and operational restructuring of the corporation. The SAAQ has revenues of $1B and manages assets in excess of $8B.

As Genetec continues to pursue its aggressive growth strategy and international expansion, Mr. Nash's joining Genetec could not have come at a more exciting time. Mr. Nash's enthusiasm, proven leadership skills and insight into Genetec's operational strategies will serve as an excellent foundation for his contribution as a member of Genetec's management team. Pierre Racz, Genetec's CEO, adds "We have chambered another round."
