Global Fire Group appoints Paul Pope as Group Business Development Director

Global Fire Group, which include Global Fire Equipment (GFE), a leading global manufacturer of fire detection equipment, and Createch, specialists in emergency lighting equipment, have announced the appointment of Paul Pope as Group Business Development Director Worldwide. Paul will be responsible for overseeing the group’s international growth strategy, marketing and product management.

Founded in Denmark in 1994 by João Paulo Ajami, Global Fire already has already established an enviable reputation as a complete fire detection and emergency lighting systems manufacturer, with presence in over 90 countries. Based in a modern logistics centre in the Algarve region of Portugal, Global Fire designs, manufactures and exports a complete range of fire detection products and emergency lighting. Its state-of-the-art equipment can be found in prestigious premises across the globe, ranging from major airports to an Antarctic research base.

Paul has been active in the fire and security industry since 1985 and has held senior management positions in some of the leading international fire and security companies. He graduated as an engineer within the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) of which he is still a member. For many years Paul has been active in the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and holds positions in the FIA Detection and Alarms Council (Vice Chairman), Services Council and the Testing Maintenance and Validation Committee. He also is a member of the Building Fire Safety Systems Section of the NFPA in the USA.
