Gunnebo Number One in EMEA for Retail Cash Automation

The latest report from independent strategic research and consulting firm, RBR, ranks Gunnebo as the market-leading supplier of automated cash handling solutions to retailers in the EMEA region.

Retail Cash Automation Report 2020 is a global study detailing market sizes and supplier shares for four cash handling terminal types – back-office deposit, back-office recyclers, point-of-sale (POS) acceptors and POS recyclers. Gunnebo is the only provider producing all four of these solutions in EMEA where it has almost a quarter of the retail cash automation market.

According to RBR this is a market which has been growing globally – up 15% between 2017 and 2019 with nearly 100,000 additional installations.

“We are proud that this study confirms Gunnebo as a leading provider of smart cash management solutions. We continue to deliver great value to retailers, from cash process optimisation and transaction transparency to greater security and a better customer experience,” says Christian Weisser, SVP Cash Management, Gunnebo. Gunnebo is also well placed to support the rising demand for hygienic cash management solutions. “Our range of back-office, front-office and full end-to-end solutions reduce the number of touchpoints with cash and maintain the physical distance between shop staff and customers,” adds Christian Weisser.
