Hikvision Digital Technology announced that their full range of network cameras are now integrated with Bold's Manitou Central Station software.

Based on Texas Instruments' DaVinci platform, Hikvision's network cameras can deliver high-quality video in real time. Using H.264 video codec, the network camera greatly optimizes the use of bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality. Dual compression stream is also supported for remote display. Featuring a ‘heartbeat' function, the cameras support self-diagnosis, reporting and processing once malfunctions occur.

Manitou Central Station Software delivers operational efficiency in a true Windows based application designed for the Internet age and beyond. Manitou dramatically increases alarm-handling operations, availability and revenue-generating additions, while saving time and money by automatically handling incoming signals. Manitou's n-tier, open architecture keeps pace with technological changes, allows flexible expansion options, and quickly integrates with external equipment or third party systems. "High quality product integrations bring greater value and versatility to our software users," said Bold Technologies Vice President, Chuck Speck. "We are pleased to see Hikvision join our portfolio of Manitou video extensions."

"Bold's powerful Manitou Central Station software is a great match for Hikvision's high performance network cameras. From now on, users can enjoy the supreme video quality from the camera and the powerful management capability from the Manitou Central Station," said Tony Yang, international marketing director of Hikvision. "The integration with Bold Technologies once again demonstrates our effort on offering customers more choices on video surveillance solutions."
